Program Overview

The Motorsport Engineering program offers an intensive immersion into Italy’s Motor Valley, combining engineering principles with hands-on motorsport experiences. Students explore aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, and performance analysis while gaining real-world exposure through visits to Ferrari, Imola Circuit, and Ducati facilities. The program is designed to ignite curiosity, enhance problem-solving skills, and provide practical engineering applications in a high-performance environment.

1. Aerodynamics Fundamentals

  • Introduction to airflow, drag, lift, and performance optimization
  • Understanding the role of aerodynamics in vehicle performance

2. Vehicle Dynamics & Performance Basics

  • Study vehicle behavior, suspension systems, and handling
  • Analyze performance through applied exercises and simulations

3. Composites & Lightweight Materials

  • Learn the principles of material science in motorsport
  • Explore lightweight structures and their impact on performance

4. Motorsport Data & Performance Mindset

  • Introduction to telemetry, data analysis, and performance optimization
  • Develop a professional mindset for teamwork and problem-solving in high-pressure environments

5. Team Engineering Challenge

  • Apply learned concepts in a collaborative project
  • Present findings and solutions to instructors and peers

Residential Program
